Mikael Ross wird am 28.2.2025 im Kulturverein zur Schießhalle aus seinem im letzten Jahr erschienenen Comic „Der verkehrte Himmel“ (Avant Verlag) lesen.
„Der Verkehrte Himmel“ ist eine Comic-of-Age Erzählung und zugleich ein Krimi, der das Thema des Menschenhandels in den Fokus nimmt. Dabei widmet sich die Erzählung, die durch Jugendliche Protagonist:innen in Berlin-Lichtenberg erlebt wird, nicht nur dem Menschenhandel zwischen Europa und Asien, sondern beleuchtet konkret ein Drehkreuz dieser Problematik – Berlin-Lichtenberg.
Mikael Ross ist in den letzten Jahren mit einigen bedeutenden Comic-Preisen ausgezeichnet worden, beispielsweise für sein Werk „Der Umfall“ (2020) mit dem Max & Moritz Preis für den „Besten deutschsprachigen Comic“.

Nach der Lesung am 28.2. hält der in Berlin lebende Zeichner Mikael Ross einen Workshop zum Thema Storyboarding für Comics für alle Interessierten Personen. (Erwachsene, aber egal ob Anfänger*in oder Profi). Mitzubringen, falls vorhanden: Bleistifte, Stifte, Lineal, Geodreieck. Ansonsten gerne von uns ausborgen.

Night Shift // Vernissage // 18.3.2025
After Hours Work Club is the collective of four artists: Lucian Barbu, Gavril Pop, Dariana Illie and Melinda Ureczki Lazar. United by friendship and a passion for comics and self-publishing, they explore themes of magic and esotericism.
In a cooperation between Potato Publishing and the Atelierhaus Salzamt, they will be spending a month as artists in residency in Linz.
The results of their work process will be presented in a group exhibition as part of the nextcomic-Festival 2025. Works by former Atelierhaus Salzamt scholarship holders with a focus on illustration, print and comics, such as the ceramics and publications of Leipzig artist Malwine Stauss (Leipzig), Paul Waak (Berlin), Srdja Dragovic and Milena Vukuslavovic (Montenegro), will also be on display.
Drink & Draw // Workshop // 29.3.2025
The motto of Drink & Draw is: anyone can draw. All you need is paper and a pencil.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to try out various drawing games and tools, accompanied by individual and collective drawing sessions. Anyone interested in drawing is invited to meet for a creative evening in a relaxed atmosphere and try to imagine how to draw “flying spaghetti”, “floating hearts” and many other fun and unusual subjects.
The next Drink & Draw will be held as part of nextcomic 2025 on March 29 at Atelierhaus Salzamt.

You like to create images and multiply them in physical form? You like snacks and drinks? Then come by around 18:00 at our Workshop in Schießhalle on 19.2. We will be creating and printing a publication on the Risograph together!
Workshop fee: 10€ (you will be able to take home a unique copy of our collective zine!)
